DJI Highlights Innovative Drone Uses At AUVSI XPONENTIAL

Next week is the AUVSI XPONENTIAL in Denver, Colorado. During the event, DJI will show off its new Zenmuse XT2 dual-sensor thermal camera, speak about how drones benefit our society, demonstrate the AeroScope Remote ID system and honor five winners of the inaugural AUVSI XCELLENCE Humanitarian Award. DJI will have various drones on display, such as the Mavic Air, the M210 RTK for precise heavy-duty jobs and the Agras MG-1S agricultural spraying drone. Visitors can try these drones in a flight simulator or get some real hands-on experience with the Mavic Air at the outdoor flying space on top of the convention center.

Humanitarian Awards And Flight Demonstrations Show Drone Benefits

April 26, 2018 – DJI, the world’s leader in civilian drones and aerial imaging technology, is highlighting innovative drone uses at this year’s AUVSI XPONENTIAL, the largest trade show for the unmanned systems industry. DJI will demonstrate its new Zenmuse XT2 dual-sensor thermal camera, speak about how drones are benefiting society, and honor five winners of the inaugural AUVSI XCELLENCE Humanitarian Award.

“DJI stays at the cutting edge of drone innovation with unmatched hardware and software, thoughtful strategies for professionals to begin using drones, a commitment to regulatory fairness for drone users, and a celebration of the many ways drones are improving lives around the world,” said Michael Perry, DJI Managing Director, North America. “We’re proud to display our efforts at XPONENTIAL, and we look forward to sharing our knowledge and experience there.”

Perry will present the Humanitarian Award, sponsored by DJI, to five winners that have made a significant impact using unmanned systems to serve in humanitarian or philanthropic efforts. Recipients of the Humanitarian Award will receive a $25,000 donation divided among their organizations.

XPONENTIAL is held Monday, April 30 to Thursday, May 3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. At DJI booth #1022, DJI will fly the new Zenmuse XT2 camera, which uses side-by-side visual and thermal imaging sensors to provide unparalleled data capture and situational awareness during emergency services, disaster recovery, and industrial inspection uses. Professional drone operators can combine visual and temperature data into one image, and automatically track an object with intelligent flight modes.

DJI will also demonstrate the AeroScope Remote ID system, which acts as an “electronic license plate” for drones and allows authorities to identify and track drones that pose concerns. An array of DJI drones and cameras will be on display, from the powerful, portable Mavic Air to the M210 RTK for precise heavy-duty jobs and the Agras MG-1S agricultural spraying drone. A flight simulator in the booth will allow attendees to experience the ease and power of drone flight.

At an outdoor flying space atop the convention center, DJI will also offer attendees an opportunity to fly the Mavic Air and experience its high performance, intelligent features and creative possibilities. DJI pilots will also demonstrate the capabilities of the Zenmuse XT2 camera flown on a professional M210 drone platform, illustrating the groundbreaking benefits it brings to construction, inspection, agriculture, energy, public safety and other fields.
