UVify and DR1 Racing team up to make drone racing even better

UVify is one of the top manufacturers and developers when it comes to FPV racing drones. They recently have announced that they are partnering with DR1 Racing to offer a new class of drone racing for the series that will feature UVify’s Draco-4X4 quads.

The UVify and DR1 Racing Partnership

This new class will be called the U-Series and will race alongside the DHL Championship Series for the next two seasons. This exclusive partnership will start with the 2019 season and will continue through the 2020 season as well.

“We’re delighted to expand our relationship with DR1 Racing to include both a new racing platform as well as additional technology development,” said Hyon Lim, CEO of UVify. “UVify is aligned with DR1 Racing’s vision of taking drone racing to the next level, with unrivalled events that include larger drones that provide a better viewing experience for both spectators and viewers at home.”

Last year DR1 introduced the “Pro Class” with giant-sized race drones that are four times the size of mini quads. Now the new U-class will feature the Draco-4×4 quads as well. UVify and DR1 have committed to work together to further develop drone technology as well as the further advancement of drone racing.

“We are very excited to expand our relationship with UVify.  Together, we will continue to innovate drone technology to create the largest racing drones in the world.  The future of motorsports is in the sky, and UVify will help DR1 Racing take the drone racing industry to new heights,” said Sahand Barati, DR1’s VP of Business Development.

DR1’s Championship series is the most watched drone racing event in the world. They have broadcasted in over 130 different countries on a variety of different channels.
