Software update for the Skydio R1 drone

Skydio just came out with their fully autonomous R1 drone a few weeks ago and here is the first software update. Some of the improvements include short processing time of the video footage after flights, automatically attempt to reconnect in case of a disconnect during flight, better USB handling when connecting to a computer, and other improvements.

R1 software update

In a tweet Skydio said:

“We just pushed our first software update for R1 to customers via our mobile apps. In this update we delivered upgrades to core capabilities, improving the experience of users spending hours at a time filming with R1 and connecting R1 to a PC for 4K editing workflows.”
