In an unannounced move, DJI raised the price on the Mavic 2 Fly More Kit and many other Mavic 2 Zoom/Pro accessories, such as the Mavic 2 Intelligent Flight Battery and the DJI ND filters. The price of the Fly More Kit was increased from $319 to $379. That is almost a 20% price increase. The new prices are effective today. We reached out to DJI and this is what they had to say.

DJI raises the price
We reached out to DJI for an explanation on the sudden price increase and whether it had anything to do with possible trade tariffs coming into effect. A spokesperson for DJI responded with:
“DJI regularly reviews its product strategy and pricing structure for its drones, handheld products and accessories. Price adjustments enable us to produce high-quality, cutting-edge technology according to our standard of innovation.
With the global launch of the Mavic 2 series, the newly introduced Fly More Kit was set at $319 USD. Starting today, the US retail price will be adjusted to $379. Similar price adjustments are being implemented in all our global markets. For customers who require additional batteries, propellers, chargers and a carrying case, the Fly More Kit remains the most ideal option with a significant cost savings. Prices of individual accessories will also be adjusted accordingly.

The official statement does not mention tariffs at all. It does mention, however, that prices have been adjusted similarly in all their global markets. This would indicate that the price hike is unrelated to trade tariffs. It is surprising though that so soon after the introduction of their new drones, the Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro models such a significant price increase is suddenly needed.
