New DJI M3E drone spotlight curses darkness with 10,000 lumens

Tundra Drone has released the new Matrix 10 spotlight accessory for the DJI Mavic 3 Enterprise (M3E) drone platforms. Designed especially for nighttime emergency operations, Tundra Drone Matrix 10 delivers a staggering 10,000 lumens of light output.

A brightness of 10,000 lumens is extremely high, comparable to the combined output of roughly 12-13 standard 60-watt light bulbs. It’s nearly as bright as some powerful outdoor floodlights used for illuminating sports fields or construction sites, and about five to eight times brighter than a typical car headlight.

This level of visibility can make a critical difference in first responder operations, making crucial details easily visible in the darkest conditions. Nighttime search and rescue missions or navigating through dense forests and poorly lit areas also becomes easier with exceptional illumination

Tundra Drone says the LEDs in its Matrix 10 light accessory are positioned strategically to activate only in alignment with the DJI M3E drone’s camera, reducing glare and enhancing visibility. This smart design allows operators to focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions.

Moreover, the light’s wide field of view matches the drone’s camera, ensuring expansive and clear footage. Weighing just 130 grams, it has minimal impact on the drone’s maneuverability and flight performance, which is crucial for precision in the field.

Another standout feature of the Tundra Drone Matrix 10 is its ease of use. The lighting system is controlled directly through the drone’s remote controller, allowing operators to adjust brightness or turn the lights on and off without any additional equipment. This seamless integration enhances operational efficiency, enabling users to adapt quickly to changing conditions.

Now, battery life is a common concern with high-intensity lighting solutions. The Tundra Drone Matrix 10 addresses this by using an external battery in addition to the drone’s power. This dual power source extends the duration of full brightness operation. If the external battery is depleted, the lights automatically dim to 3,000 lumens, ensuring continued functionality.

The Tundra Drone Matrix 10 light for DJI M3E drone is priced at $1,500.
