Teledyne FLIR launches new dual-sensor payload camera for SIRAS drone

Teledyne FLIR has introduced the Vue TV128+ camera module, a versatile dual-sensor payload for its SIRAS professional drone. This high-performance module combines thermal and visible imaging capabilities, making it ideal for utility inspectors, law enforcement, and emergency response teams.

The Vue TV128+ pairs a 128x-zoom, 16-megapixel visible camera with a 640×512 resolution FLIR Boson+ thermal camera. The Boson+ sensor offers enhanced thermal sensitivity, capturing even the smallest temperature differences with a sensitivity of 20 mK or less. This provides sharp thermal images, ensuring clarity in both daytime and nighttime conditions.

The camera module is equipped with Teledyne FLIR’s patented MSX Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging software. MSX technology adds visible light details to thermal images in real-time, enhancing clarity without reducing thermal transparency. This feature helps operators gain a better understanding of their environment, making it easier to interpret thermal readings.

“With the introduction of the Vue TV128+ for the SIRAS drone, we are excited to offer an even more advanced dual visible and thermal camera solution for professional drone pilots,” says Mike Walters, vice president, Teledyne FLIR. “Enhanced thermal visibility, especially in low-contrast environments, is a must-have tool for inspectors and public safety professionals.”

Built to handle challenging conditions, the Vue TV128+ is IP54-rated for protection against dust and water. It is suitable for a wide range of applications, including industrial inspections, firefighting, search and rescue operations, and law enforcement tasks.

Customers can purchase the Vue TV128+ as part of a SIRAS drone bundle or as a standalone option to upgrade their existing equipment.
