DJI Flip firmware update unlocks voice control, 4K slow motion

DJI has released a firmware update for its new Flip drone on launch day, offering early adopters an enhanced flying experience from the start. The v01.00.1000 update adds voice control, app recording, and 4K/100fps slow-motion video capabilities, ensuring buyers can unlock the drone’s full potential upon initial setup.

Weighing under 249 grams, the DJI Flip drone boasts foldable, full-coverage propeller guards for ultra-safe and reliable flying. With a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, it captures stunning 48MP photos and 4K videos effortlessly at the tap of a button. Thanks to its comprehensive protection features, even beginner pilots can confidently explore the skies with the DJI Flip.

DJI Flip drone key firmware features

Voice Control: Pilots can now navigate and operate the DJI Flip drone hands-free through voice commands, offering greater convenience and precision during flights. Simply say “Hey Fly!” to wake up voice control and then say voice commands to control the aircraft.

App Recording: The update lets users record audio directly on their phones and compatible Bluetooth devices. DJI Fly filters out the propeller motor noise and attaches that audio to the edited video clips.

4K/100fps Slow Motion: Drone enthusiasts can capture cinematic slow-motion footage in stunning 4K resolution, elevating creative storytelling to new heights.

Fold Arm to Power Off: With this feature, simply folding the drone’s arms powers it down, streamlining post-flight handling.

Additionally, the update resolves various known issues to enhance flight stability and overall performance. Firmware compatibility has also been extended to DJI’s RC 2, RC-N2, and RC-N3 remote controllers for a fully integrated experience.

The DJI Flip’s compact design and beginner-friendly features make it an appealing choice for both new and experienced drone users. Now, with advanced voice controls and high-resolution recording capabilities, the drone offers even more versatility for capturing breathtaking aerial footage.
