Tech giant DJI has announced a product launch event scheduled for April 16 at 8 a.m. EDT. The event’s teaser taglines, “Light Up The Night” and “Reach Loud and Clear,” suggest the introduction of new spotlight and speaker payloads for industrial drones, such as the Matrice 350 RTK.
The Matrice 350 RTK, unveiled in May 2023, is renowned for its durability and versatility in commercial applications. It boasts a maximum flight time of 55 minutes and can carry payloads up to 2.7 kg. The drone supports various configurations, including single upward or downward gimbals and dual downward gimbals, allowing operators to mount multiple payloads simultaneously. Its IP55 rating ensures resilience in challenging weather conditions, and the O3 Enterprise Transmission system provides stable connections with a transmission range of up to 20 kilometers.
The anticipated spotlight and speaker payloads are poised to enhance the Matrice 350 RTK’s utility in critical operations. A high-intensity spotlight can illuminate areas during nighttime search and rescue missions, aiding responders in locating individuals more efficiently. The speaker payload would enable real-time communication, allowing operators to broadcast messages during emergencies or coordinate with ground teams effectively.
These additions could significantly benefit public safety agencies, search and rescue teams, and emergency responders by providing advanced tools to manage complex situations.
