DJI Mini 3 drone sees rare price cut amid US supply crunch

DJI’s drones are getting harder to buy in the US, but a rare deal on the Mini 3 just landed on Amazon — and it’s one you’ll want to grab before it vanishes, too.

Right now, you can get the DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo (with DJI RC) for $629, marked down from $719 — that’s 13% off. And if you’re looking for something even more budget-friendly, the DJI Mini 3 with the RC-N1 remote controller is available for just $369, down from $419. That’s the lowest price we’ve seen in months — maybe even ever.

At a time when DJI drones are quietly vanishing from online shelves, these two Mini 3 bundles are suddenly standing out like diamonds in the rough.

Despite its compact size and sub-249g weight (which makes it exempt from FAA registration in most recreational use cases), the Mini 3 punches way above its class.

The camera is where it really shines: it packs a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, capable of shooting 4K HDR video and 48MP stills, which is phenomenal for a drone this size. Plus, the camera can rotate for vertical shooting, perfect for social media creators and real estate professionals alike.

The drone has up to 38 minutes of flight time (which bumps up to 51 minutes with the optional Intelligent Flight Battery Plus), and it performs surprisingly well in wind — up to 38 km/h, to be precise. It also supports True Vertical Shooting, QuickShots, and other automated flight modes that make capturing cinematic footage easy, even if you’re new to drones.

Choosing the right DJI drone combo

  • DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo (with DJI RC): This bundle includes the DJI RC controller with a built-in screen, so you don’t need to plug in your phone. It also comes with two extra batteries, a two-way charging hub, shoulder bag, spare propellers, and other accessories that make flying more convenient and less stressful.
    Now $629 (was $719)
  • DJI Mini 3 with RC-N1: A solid entry-level option, this version includes the RC-N1 controller that uses your smartphone as the display. It comes with the essentials — one battery, a charger, and spare props.
    Now $369 (was $419)

Both versions offer a great entry point into the DJI ecosystem, with reliability and camera quality that far exceed the usual beginner drone.

It’s not just that these are great drones — it’s that you may not be able to buy them much longer.

As DroneDJ has reported, every DJI drone is currently out of stock on DJI’s own online store in the US. That includes the Mini 4 Pro, Air 3S, Mavic 3 Pro, and even older models. While the company hasn’t officially said why, it’s likely tied to increasing pressure from proposed US legislation that could restrict or ban DJI drones entirely.

This growing uncertainty is pushing pilots and hobbyists to buy while they still can, especially as retailers begin to run low on inventory, too.

So, if you’ve been on the fence about buying a drone — or upgrading your current one — the DJI Mini 3 might be your last best chance to get a powerful, lightweight flyer at a great price.

Because once it’s gone… who knows when or if it’ll be back?
