DJI is inviting Osmo Action 5 Pro users to participate in a public beta program aimed at enhancing the camera’s color performance.
The Osmo Action 5 Pro, DJI’s flagship action camera, boasts impressive features like a 1/1.3-inch sensor, 4K/120fps video recording, dual OLED touchscreens, and a robust build that’s waterproof up to 20 meters. Despite its advanced capabilities, some users have reported issues with color accuracy and white balance, particularly in HDR modes.
To address these concerns, DJI is developing a new firmware update and is seeking feedback from users. Participants in the beta program will receive the test firmware via their registered DJI account by April 30. To join, users must submit their interest by April 28 here.
Updating the firmware is going to be straightforward: log into your DJI account, connect the Osmo Action 5 Pro to the DJI Mimo app, and follow the on-screen prompts. The beta testing period is open-ended, with no limit on the number of participants.
This initiative reflects DJI’s commitment to continuous improvement and user engagement. By participating, you can directly influence the camera’s performance and ensure it meets the high standards expected by the action photography community.
