Easy Aerial is gearing up for its next phase of growth after closing a $20 million Series B funding round, giving the US-based autonomous drone company more firepower to expand production, strengthen international operations, and meet rising demand for defense-focused aerial intelligence systems.
The funding round attracted backing from Insight Partners, Entrée Capital, and private US investors, underscoring continued investor confidence in companies building autonomous technologies for military, government, and critical infrastructure applications.
The company says the fresh capital will be used to increase manufacturing capacity, support international defense programs, expand its global footprint, and continue investing in autonomous aerial technologies. The announcement comes as governments around the world accelerate spending on intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities amid evolving security challenges.
Easy Aerial has been on a growth streak in recent months, securing multiple new defense and security contracts across both the United States and international markets. As demand for persistent aerial intelligence continues to grow, the company says it’s scaling both its manufacturing and operational capabilities to keep pace.
“This funding marks an important milestone for Easy Aerial as we continue executing our long-term growth strategy,” says CEO Shahar Abuhazira. He adds that with new programs underway in the US and overseas, the company is expanding production capabilities, strengthening international operations, and delivering autonomous aerial systems designed to meet the changing needs of defense and government customers worldwide.
Insight Partners Managing Director and Easy Aerial board member Mike Hayes feels the company’s technology addresses a growing need for reliable, mission-ready aerial intelligence without adding operational complexity. He also points to increasing demand for trusted, US-built drone technologies as governments seek more secure and resilient supply chains.
Easy Aerial specializes in autonomous tethered drone systems that provide persistent aerial surveillance for defense, force protection, perimeter security, emergency response, and critical infrastructure monitoring. Unlike conventional drones, tethered systems can remain airborne for extended periods by drawing continuous power from the ground, making them particularly valuable for long-duration surveillance missions.
The company has also expanded manufacturing into Europe, complementing its growing global production and integration network as it positions itself to serve defense, government, and commercial customers worldwide.
