Early Friday morning, Yuneec released a new version of firmware for their H520 Hexacopter. Developed for commercial use, this drone gets a few new small features that might make a big difference in your daily flying routines.

You can head to Yuneec’s site to view this new version of the firmware, download it, and read instructions on how to upload the update to your aircraft.
Release Notes:
- Remaining flight time display
- Joystick modes (Mode 1-4)
- Hardware monitoring
- Indoor flight mode
- Flight speed control
Updating:
If you are looking to update your H520 from your computer, here are six steps as provided by Yuneec on how to do so:
- Copy file onto SD Card (The H520 update file should be a .YUNEEC file)
- Insert SD Card into E90 Camera
- Initiate H520 as usual and H520 will Auto-Update
- After Update Sequence, H520 will restart
- Power-Off and Power-On H520 after restart
- Update is complete
After the update:
Yuneec strongly recommends that after you perform the update to your H520 that you also calibrate the compass and the accelerometer for the best flight performance.
