Some DJI Osmo Pocket Accessories now available online

The DJI Osmo Pocket is a very nifty little camera that features a 3-axis gimbal that allows you to take great photos and 4K video. However, the super small form factor of the DJI Osmo Pocket means that certain features are missing and have to be added in the form of accessories. For instance, you can mount an external microphone to get better quality sound, but that requires a special accessory. Same for taking underwater photos, you need a special casing for that. While most of the ‘crucial’ accessories are still not available. DJI has started to offer some accessories in their online store.

DJI Osmo Pocket Accessories

Osmo Pocket Expansion Kit – $109

First, we have the Osmo Pocket Expansion Kit priced at $109. It gives you the Controller Wheel, Wireless Module, Accessory Mount, and 32GB Samsung microSD Card

Osmo Pocket Wireless Module – $59

Supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections, and also serves as a base to use Osmo Pocket remotely. Priced at $59

Osmo Pocket Controller Wheel – $59

Makes shooting easier by supporting precise gimbal control, and quick changes between shooting modes. Priced at $59

Osmo Pocket Accessory Mount – $19

Provides mounting bracket for accessories to shoot in various scenarios. Priced at $19

My gripe with the accessories is that the $349 DJI Osmo Pocket will quickly start to become a lot more expensive once you add all the accessories that you need to create more professional looking footage. Currently, we do not know yet when the external microphone connection, the waterproof case, the extension rod, charger or ND filters will become available. I was hoping to see them at CES 2019 but that hasn’t panned out.
