We met up with Andrew St Pierre from Autel Robotics to take a look at the new LiveDeck and MultiCharger that they brought to CES 2019. Both devices would be very helpful, especially for first responders. However, both products are currently still in development and no official pricing or release date has been made public as of yet. Even though we had hoped for more new drones and drone accessories to be released, we are far from disappointed. This year is the first time we will bring you the DroneDJ Best of CES Awards to spotlight our favorite products introduced at the show. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend this year’s CES but we have had a number of people from DroneDJ, 9to5Mac, 9to5Google, and 9to5Toys hunt down the latest and greatest new products in Las Vegas. CES 2019 Stories January 8

UVify has developed a 16 rotor drone that they believe is the world’s fastest and most maneuverable X-Class or Pro-Class drone today. Not only that, but the Draco 4×4 will be used exclusively in the DR1 Racing’s U-Class series in 2019. The Draco 4×4 16 rotor beast will be unveiled and demonstrated at CES 2019. expand full story

This morning DJI released their new DJI Smart Controller during CES 2019. Right after the official announcement at 9 am EST, the first reviews showed up on YouTube. At $649 the new DJI Smart Controller is not cheap by any means but the brighter screen will be very useful for many drone pilots. The price goes down to $400 when bought in combination with the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom or Pro drone.
