Drone racing fans, get ready to be dazzled! The Drone Racing League (DRL) has unveiled its lineup of 12 world-class pilots for the 2025 DRL US Air Force Miami Invitational. The thrilling competition will take place on February 1 at loanDepot Park, promising an unforgettable spectacle of high-speed drones and futuristic visuals.
Headlining the event is Evan “Headsup” Turner, a two-time DRL World Champion and 2025 US Air Force Team Pilot. “I’m so excited to return to Miami for the DRL US Air Force Miami Invitational and am super honored to be named the US Air Force Team Pilot this year,” says Turner. “This is going to be incredible! Let’s fly, Miami!”
The competition will showcase an international roster of talent, including seasoned veterans and rising stars. Defending champion MCK FPV from South Korea returns after a stellar rookie season, alongside Tennessee’s fearless AlexFPV and Denmark’s esports prodigy ChrisM. Adding to the excitement are first-time participants like Los Angeles-based Leviathann and Illinois’ Propsicle, who has been racing since he was 13.
This high-stakes event promises heart-pounding action as drones zip through a neon-lit, 3D aerial course at speeds of up to 90 mph. Miami holds a special place in DRL’s history, being the site of its first-ever race in 2016. The league was recently acquired by Infinite Reality.
