HevenDrones, Mach team up to build hydrogen drones in the US

Mach Industries and HevenDrones are teaming up to scale the production of hydrogen-powered drones in the United States. The partnership will use Mach’s manufacturing network, Forge, to build HevenDrones’ H100, H2D55, and Raider models at Mach’s facility in Huntington Beach, California.

By working together, Mach and HevenDrones aim to expand US production of drone components, including avionics, radios, fuel systems, and propulsion. The goal is to reduce reliance on foreign manufacturing and create a stronger domestic supply chain for drones.

Beyond the US, the companies plan to expand Forge into other countries, building local production hubs to support US allies. This move will help ensure that drone manufacturing remains secure and resilient, even in times of global supply chain disruptions.

Mach’s vertically integrated manufacturing approach allows for rapid scaling, helping HevenDrones meet growing demand for its hydrogen-powered drones. In turn, HevenDrones brings expertise in drone technology, strengthening Mach’s capabilities in the defense sector. The companies also see their partnership as a way to compete with Chinese drone manufacturers, offering an alternative for US and allied defense forces.

“We’re not just making drones faster; we’re building the future of defense manufacturing,” says Ethan Thornton, CEO of Mach Industries. “With HevenDrones as our global partner, together we play a key role in empowering the defense sector with advanced, high-performance drones, strengthening domestic manufacturing infrastructure to keep our military safe and at the forefront of technology.”

Bentzion Levinson, CEO of HevenDrones, emphasizes the urgency of ramping up production. “Our customers urgently need thousands, and eventually tens of thousands, of drones to be deployed in-theater,” says Levinson. “Our goal is to provide quick-turn, full-scale American manufacturing of the most versatile, reliable, and powerful platforms available to the warfighter.”

Mach Industries, founded in 2023, focuses on advanced defense manufacturing and rapid innovation. HevenDrones, based in Miami since 2019, specializes in hydrogen-powered drones designed for endurance and adaptability in military operations.
