Dubai Police has officially teamed up with AirHub, a Netherlands-based drone software company specializing in drone operations, situational awareness, fleet management, and compliance. The strategic partnership will help Dubai Police to elevate its already advanced drone operations.
At the heart of the collaboration is AirHub’s Drone Operations Center, which will be deployed to help manage and coordinate Dubai Police’s expanding drone fleet. This move supports one of the most advanced Drone as a First Responder (DFR) programs globally, boosting city surveillance, emergency response, and traffic control.
“This collaboration enables us to integrate and streamline our aerial systems under a unified platform,” says Captain Muhammad Omar Al Muhairi, director of Dubai Police’s Unmanned Aerial Systems Centre (UASC). “It enhances operational efficiency, safety, and readiness in real-time mission environments.”
The UASC already runs multiple drone flights weekly to assist in core policing functions like crowd control, large event management, and rapid emergency support. With AirHub’s scalable platform, these missions can now be tracked, managed, and optimized with improved situational awareness and automation.
Stephan van Vuren, CEO of AirHub, notes, “Working with Dubai Police provides a unique opportunity to develop next-generation capabilities. Their approach to DFR is among the most progressive globally and is a benchmark for public safety agencies worldwide.”
