DJI RS 5, Osmo 360 grab top honors at NAB Show 2026

DJI just added more trophies to its shelf, and this time the spotlight came from one of the biggest stages in professional video production. At NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas — one of the most important events for filmmakers, broadcasters, and content creators — DJI picked up multiple awards for two of its newest products: the RS 5 gimbal and the Osmo 360 camera. For American creators looking for smarter gear this year, these wins could be worth paying attention to.

The biggest headline came from the DJI RS 5, which earned the 2026 NAB Show Product of the Year award in the Camera Support, Control, and Accessories category. It also picked up ProductionHUB’s Award of Excellence, giving the lightweight camera stabilizer a strong double win.

That matters because the RS 5 is clearly aimed at creators who want pro-level motion shots without dragging around bulky cinema gear. DJI says the new model brings more flexibility and control, including an Electric Briefcase Handle for easier low-angle shooting and upgraded fine-tuning knobs on each axis arm for smoother balancing.

But perhaps the most eye-catching feature is the new RS Enhanced Intelligent Tracking Module. This lets users frame live footage and track subjects directly from the gimbal’s touchscreen. Whether it’s a person walking, a moving car, a pet running through a park, or another object, the system is designed to make complex shots much easier to pull off. That kind of feature could be especially appealing to solo creators, wedding shooters, event videographers, and small production teams who don’t always have extra hands on set.

DJI’s second big winner was the Osmo 360, which received ProVideo Coalition’s Best in Show Award for Best Creative Empowerment Tool. The name may sound flashy, but the specs explain why judges noticed it.

The Osmo 360 ($357 after 35% off) features a 1-inch 360-degree imaging sensor capable of native 8K video capture, promising sharp footage and stronger low-light performance than many compact action cameras. It also weighs just 183 grams and offers up to 100 minutes of continuous 8K/30fps recording. For creators, that combination means something simple: high-end image quality in a camera small enough to carry almost anywhere.

The bigger takeaway here is that DJI is continuing to push far beyond drones. From gimbals to immersive cameras, the company is building tools for filmmakers, YouTubers, travel creators, and everyday users who want professional-looking results without overly complicated setups.
