Flying DJI drones in busy city areas in Europe just got a whole lot easier — at least for operators using ParaZero’s SafeAir safety system. The aerospace company has announced that its parachute-based safety tech, integrated with DJI’s Matrice 350, Mavic 3T, and Mavic 3E, has officially met CE Class C5 compliance under European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) rules.
This certification is a big deal for drone operators in Europe. It simplifies the often-complicated process of getting approval to fly in urban environments, especially under the Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA) framework. In simple terms, it means fewer regulatory headaches and faster approvals for commercial and defense drone missions.

With the CE Class C5 certification, operators can now use drones equipped with SafeAir in the Standard Scenario STS-01 category. This allows flights over populated areas with controlled ground risks — perfect for applications like infrastructure inspections, emergency response, and even defense missions.
