DJI Mavic 4 Pro gets feature-packed launch firmware update

DJI has officially unveiled its most advanced consumer drone yet — the Mavic 4 Pro — and it’s already soaring to new heights with a feature-rich firmware update released on launch day. While US buyers may be grounded due to trade restrictions, drone enthusiasts worldwide can now unlock a suite of powerful tools designed to enhance aerial creativity and control.

The Mavic 4 Pro is a significant leap forward in DJI’s lineup, boasting a triple-camera system headlined by a 100MP 4/3-inch Hasselblad sensor capable of shooting up to 6K at 60fps. Its innovative 360-degree rotating “Infinity Gimbal” allows for unparalleled shooting flexibility, including vertical and upward angles. With a flight time of up to 51 minutes and a top speed of 90 kph, this drone is built for extended, high-performance missions.

Despite its global launch, DJI has confirmed that the Mavic 4 Pro will not be available in the US at this time, citing ongoing trade tariffs and import challenges. However, some US retailers like Adorama and B&H Photo have listed the drone for preorder, offering a glimmer of hope for American drone enthusiasts.
