Antigravity A1 drone gets first-ever discount with new flight simulator feature

Antigravity’s groundbreaking A1 drone, the world’s first consumer 8K 360° aerial camera drone, is stepping into the spotlight with its first major discount and a significant feature update — a flight simulator built right into its immersive Vision Goggles system. The new tools and price cut aim to entice both first-time pilots and creative pros to experience a fresh way of flying and capturing the world.

Unlike traditional drones that capture what’s in front of you, the Antigravity A1 records everything around it in full 360 degrees at up to 8K resolution, a feat no other consumer drone has matched. With a clever dual-lens design and advanced image stitching powered by Antigravity and optical-flow algorithms, the drone effectively disappears in your footage, giving you unobstructed aerial content to explore later in editing.

This “shoot now, frame later” workflow radically changes how creators approach drone videography: instead of worrying about framing the perfect angle mid-flight, you can extract any perspective you want afterward, straight from the same clip. Whether it’s wide panoramic views, dynamic side shots, or creative “tiny planet” effects, the A1 lets you unlock cinematic possibilities from one flight.

But the A1 doesn’t just record in 360° — it immerses you in the flight itself. When flown with the included Vision Goggles, pilots get a real-time surround view that feels like being aboard the drone. Head tracking lets you look around naturally as you fly, adding depth to exploration and creative framing.

Control comes through a thoughtful Grip Motion Controller that translates gestures into motion. Rather than mastering complex stick inputs, pointing the controller guides the drone’s direction — a feature Antigravity calls FreeMotion mode. This makes the A1 accessible to beginners and adds another layer of interaction for seasoned flyers.

Flight simulator makes learning safer and easier

With the latest update, Antigravity introduces a built-in Virtual Flight Simulator accessible directly through the Vision Goggles. Pilots can practice in a 3D virtual environment that mirrors real-world flight physics and handling — all without risking a crash. This is especially welcome for a 360 drone experience, which may feel unconventional to those accustomed to standard quadcopter control.

Whether you’re indoors waiting for the weather to clear or prepping for your next shoot, the simulator helps build confidence and muscle memory. Antigravity says this feature begins rolling out on January 29, and it’s intended to smooth the learning curve for new pilots while enhancing overall safety.

This development coincides with the A1 finally landing on Amazon for US customers. It remains fully compliant with current Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules, putting to rest any lingering concerns about import or operational restrictions in the United States.

And to celebrate this wider availability and the new flight simulator, Antigravity is offering a 15% discount on all A1 bundles worldwide from January 27 to February 9. This price cut applies to standard packs as well as the Explorer and Infinity bundles, bringing this premium drone experience within reach for more pilots and creators.

For anyone on the fence, this sale is an opportunity to step into immersive aerial storytelling, with cutting-edge tech, intuitive controls, and future-ready features that distinguish the A1 from typical camera drones.
