Pascal Partouche from Holon, Israel, flew his drone over what seems to be the Mediterranean ocean and took a bunch of photos. One of which was a guy swimming or snorkeling. Only when Pascal came home and took a closer look at the pictures, did he discover the shark lurking right behind the swimmer. The guy in the wetsuit was totally unaware of the danger lurking behind him in the turquoise water. The shark seems to be around 8 feet long. Surely big enough to do some serious damage. We have no information on the kind of shark but have reached out to Pascal for more information.
Curious shark is contemplating lunch
In previous articles we reported about shark sightings. About a month ago where a man is wading through the water close to the beach in Florida and is totally unaware of a massive shark swimming right in front of him. Drones obviously have a much higher vantage point and allow the drone pilot to see what is actually lurking below the surface. In Australia, lifeguards have started to use drones to spot for sharks and crocodiles to keep swimmers safe. One company developed the Little Ripper drone with special software to help identify quickly if you’re looking at a swimmer, surfer or shark in the water.
At DroneDJ we report about the different ways people use drones to increase awareness of their various useful purposes beyond flying them for fun in your backyard or local park.
