It was only yesterday that we showed you a screenshot of what seems to be the new DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. Today we are excited to share with you what seems to be a first official image of new drone. It appears that the official launch date of this new product is May 8th, which of course at the time of me writing this, in China it already is. It is very hard to tell, but based on the lo-res photo it seems that this new drone may, in fact, have the silent propellers we first saw on the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum Edition. We later saw these new props also surface in an FCC filing.
The DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0
As of yet, the details are still very scarce on this new version of the DJI Phantom. The drone apparently comes in a full white color, which matches the FCC filing we saw earlier. This may also indicate that the silver-grey drone we have seen recently is, in fact, the new DJI Phantom 5.
As we shared with you yesterday, we expect this new Phantom to sport a 1″ sensor size camera, that can record video in H.264, 4K at 24/25/30/48/50/60 frames per second and H.265 4K in 24/25/30 fps. The camera features a variable aperture ranging from F/2.8 – f/11.
Pricing is announced at 9,999 Yuan which equals about $1,572 USD, or for what I think is the Fly More Combo at 11,999 Yuan, which is about $1,886. For an additional $157 you can obtain DJI Care.
Silent props or jpg artifacts?
The information was shared on Twitter and it seems that @OsitaLV was correct on this one as he called the introduction of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 “imminent” and expected DJI to make an official announcement within 72 hours, which it now seems that they have.
Currently, we have no information on when this drone may come to the U.S.
