Drone company, FlyMotion helped in the search of a missing 9-year-old girl from Jacksonville

It all started Friday morning around 5 a.m. when 9-year-old Camille Wesley Corbett was reported missing. According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the young girl was last seen Friday morning early on the Northside at a home in the area of 8th Avenue and Prospect Street. Boats, dogs, a helicopter, and drone company FlyMotion have all contributed to the search for the girl. Fortunately, she has been found after an 18-hour search party and has since been reunited with her family.

Drones to the rescue

Drones are quickly becoming part of the standard arsenal of first responders as they are fast to deploy, can access difficult to reach areas, and they are a lot less expensive than traditional aircraft such as search and rescue helicopters.

The search for 9-year-old Camille Wesley Corbett, who went missing Friday morning early, around 5 a.m., consisted of officials and volunteers, who used boats, dogs, a helicopter and a drone company to find the Jacksonville girl. Fortunately, she was found on Saturday after an 18-hour search party and has since been reunited with her family.

The drone company that was involved in the search, is the Florida-based FlyMotion. They used drones outfitted with the new DJI XT2 thermal camera, Aeroscope, FlightHub and their decked-out UAV incident command vehicle to help locate the missing girl.
