Good morning, please welcome Chris Monti and Jack Towne to DroneDJ. They are experienced drone pilots and writers from Half Chrome. You will see more articles from them appear on DroneDJ going forward. Starting with this excellent post on why the Mavic 2 Zoom is the best drone for most people. We’re glad to have them as part of our team. Furthermore, there has been an update for the DJI GO 4 app and we have some amazing drone footage of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18. Lastly, we have a beautiful drone video of Cappadocia in the Goreme Valley, Turkey with the fascinating Cardak Underground City. So, grab your coffee and catch up with the latest news from DroneDJ!

Today’s drone video of Cardak Underground City
Today’s drone video is from production company Nelstill and it shows of the Cardak Underground City in Cappadocia in the Goreme Valley, Turkey. Nelstill had this to say about the location:
“Visit the Goreme Valley, the Cardak Underground City, stroll through the Valley of the Pigeon Lofts. Cappadocia, situated on the rugged plateau north of the Taurus Mountains, in the center of present-day Turkey, is like a patch of earth that appears to be detached from another world: strange geological formations, similar to lunar ones, underground labyrinths, fortresses, cities built underground.”
The only other place that I have seen that has some resemblance to this part of Turkey are the Badlands in the US. There too do you feel like you’re on some distant planet when you walk around the various rock formations and steep canyons.
We love it when you send us your videos. So, if you have a drone film that you would like to show on DroneDJ, send us an email with a link to your video on YouTube or Vimeo and provide us with some background info.
