Autel Robotics has released a new firmware update for EVO II drones using the V3 chipset. The software bundle packs in several new features, as well as bug fixes and optimizations.

Compared to previous generations, the EVO II V3 drones come with increased range and better imaging capabilities. The series consists of EVO II Pro V3, EVO II Pro RTK V3, EVO II Dual 640T RTK V3, EVO II Dual 640T V3, EVO II Pro Enterprise V3, and EVO II Dual 640T Enterprise V3 aircraft.

Here’s everything that the new aircraft firmware v1.1.54 for the EVO II V3 series packs in:

  • Adds ATTI mode.
  • Adds Remote ID functionality for the European regions.
  • Adds emergency propeller stop during the flight.
  • Adds an option to take photos at degree intervals in Orbit mode.
  • Adds geo-awareness settings for the European region.
  • Optimizes no-fly zone settings.
  • Optimizes the display of the LED indicator lights on the arms.
  • Optimizes the flight speed in the novice mode.
  • Optimizes image transmission signal stability.
  • Optimizes the display of the aircraft’s serial number.
  • Optimizes Remote ID functionality for the United States.
  • Fixes the temperature reading issues on the thermal camera.

To fully utilize all the new features in the v1.1.54 firmware, the drone maker says it is important to update the Android system for V3 Smart Controller (6.4- and 7.9-inch) first and install the Autel Explorer app v3.1.72 before updating the firmware.
