Flyability Cloud unlocks new ways to manage Elios 3 drone data

Switzerland-based drone manufacturer Flyability has introduced Flyability Cloud, a cloud-based platform designed to safely share and collaborate the data from Elios 3 indoor inspection drones.

The platform tackles a widespread challenge in the drone industry: handling large amounts of data generated during confined-space inspections. While drones capture high-quality video, 3D point clouds, and complex models, managing this data can be a logistical nightmare due to file sizes, limited local storage, and organizational IT restrictions.

Flyability Cloud addresses these issues by providing a secure, centralized solution that streamlines how data is stored, accessed, and shared. For organizations heavily involved in industrial inspections, this cloud-based approach could be a game-changer. Rather than dealing with USB drives or installing specific software, Elios 3 users can now upload inspection data directly to Flyability Cloud, making it instantly accessible to any authorized team member with a web browser. This simplifies the workflow considerably, allowing engineers and decision-makers to view, analyze, and share inspection results without delays.

A standout feature is the platform’s collaborative tools. Users can visualize inspection data as 3D models within Flyability Cloud, streamlining how results are interpreted and analyzed. Moreover, an upcoming update will introduce real-time collaboration tools, enabling team members to annotate, edit, and review data simultaneously, which is invaluable for fast-paced inspection teams needing quick feedback on inspection data.

Flyability’s commitment to security is also central to the platform, as Flyability Cloud uses robust cybersecurity measures, including data encryption, multi-factor authentication, and regular vulnerability assessments. These protocols are part of Flyability’s plans to pursue certifications like ISO 27001 and SOC 2, assuring clients of industry-leading data protection.
