As rogue drone incidents escalate worldwide, D-Fend Solutions is stepping up to meet the challenge with cutting-edge technology and significant financial backing. The counter-drone specialist has announced a $31 million investment round led by Israel Growth Partners (IGP), alongside existing investor Vertex Ventures and new contributor Vertex Growth.
This funding solidifies D-Fend’s leadership in radio frequency (RF)-based, non-kinetic counter-drone technology. Unlike conventional methods, their approach prioritizes precision and operational continuity, neutralizing threats without disrupting surrounding activities.
The new capital will propel D-Fend’s global expansion, technological advancements, and market reach into new sectors. With clients spanning 30 countries — including key Five Eyes alliance members, G7 nations, and NATO states — D-Fend has recorded over 60% annual revenue growth. Their flagship product, EnforceAir, uses RF cyber-takeover techniques to safely disable unauthorized drones in sensitive areas, from airports and prisons to public events and military zones.
“This funding is a testament to the trust our investors have in our vision, technology, growth, brand, and customer base,” says Zohar Halachmi, CEO and chairman of D-Fend Solutions. “The growing size, scope, and complexity of rogue drone threats demands advanced, precise, and reliable solutions. This investment will enable us to continue innovating and expanding our capabilities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of counter-drone technology, while delivering unparalleled control, safety and, uniquely, operational continuity to our global defense, homeland security, law enforcement, airport, and critical infrastructure customers.”
IGP’s involvement brings an endorsement of D-Fend as a disruptive force in the defense and cybersecurity space. Uri Erde, a general partner at IGP, says, “D-Fend Solutions fits the profile and model which we find very attractive — a category-creating company that develops and deploys deep and defensible technology to address threats posed by the mass proliferation of beneficial but also potentially dangerous devices and products, in this case drones.”
D-Fend’s technology has already earned recognition, including from Booz Allen Hamilton, which highlighted its EnforceAir system as an emerging leader in non-kinetic counter-drone solutions. With this fresh funding, D-Fend is poised to safeguard sensitive environments against evolving aerial threats.
