5 drone Black Friday deals still live

We all know there are drone-loving children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or spouses in your family who have been asking for a drone this holiday season. Or maybe it’s just you looking to finally pull the plug on one. Below are five deals to save some money this Black Friday on drones.

HOVERAir X1 down below $1,000

The most expensive drone on this list, the HOVERAir X1, is an 8K “Flying Camera” type drone that has been taking the industry by storm the last few years. Similar to the Snapchat Pixy and DJI’s Neo, this little drone is designed to fly alongside you as you ride your bike, snowboard down the slopes, or just simply snap a selfie at the park, all while folding up to fit nicely in your purse or backpack.

The HOVERAir X1 is controlled solely by your voice or hand gestures, and while we haven’t been able to test it, some put it neck and neck with the flight experience of DJI. The 8K video footage it captures is also the highest you’ll find on any drone. Which is impressive given it’s small size.

The HOVERAir X1 is seeing a 26% Black Friday discount to $949, down from its regular price of $1,282.

DJI Mini 4K still 21% off

We shared this deal earlier this week, but the stripped-down and most basic camera drone from DJI is still seeing its Black Friday deal. The Mini 4K uses the tried-and-true classic DJI Mini design that came out back in 2019. Receiving upgrades over the years, the 4K version of course supports 4K video capture and all the helpful “Quickshot” movements that make flying a drone a breeze for beginners. All of that, plus the reliability and brand strength that come with DJI, means you know when you turn it on, it’s going to work.

The DJI Mini 4K can be found at the Black Friday discounted price of $309.

Potensic ATOM SE down 22%

If you’re looking for a bit more of a budget-friendly drone that is similar in spec to the DJI Mini 4K, Potensic’s ATOM SE is the drone for you. The drone also featuring 4K footage and beginner-friendly flight modes to capture the footage you’ve seen on Instagram. What are you giving up? The camera isn’t gimbaled, so some footage may be a bit shakier in the wind or angled while flying, and Potensic’s software can sometimes be a bit more finicky to use.

However, we’ve flown plenty of Potensic’s drones over the years, and they are still great options if you’re just looking for a cheap drone to have some fun with.

Potensic’s ATOM SE has a Black Friday deal, discounting the price to $210, with two batteries, a controller, and a carrying case included.

DJI Flip 2 with RC 2 controller down 20%

the DJI Flip 2, a drone line no one really saw coming but is just packed with all the features from the Mini 4 Pro. This is the drone where we start talking about doing some real drone work. Pair that with the RC 2, DJI’s smaller flight controller with a built-in screen, this is a great entry-level drone for those looking to make flying these a side gig or career.

The Flip 2 bundled with the RC 2 can be found for a Black Friday discount of $509. Really a solid price for what you’re getting.

DJI Neo down to $159

The cheapest drone on the list, the DJI Neo, is similar to the HOVERAir X1 as I mentioned earlier. It’s a “Flying Camera” style drone that is meant to fly using nothing but voice or gesture controls. Pull it out, snap a few photos or a short video, and that’s it. The difference between this and other similar drones in the market is that DJI made it fully compatible with its controllers and FPV hardware. So if you just happen to already have a DJI RC 2 or FPV Goggles/Motion Controller, you have a pretty cheap and easy-to-use FPV drone on your hands.

The DJI Neo’s Black Friday deal is 20% off its regular price, now available for $159.
