With 2025 coming to a close, what are we looking at for the new year? Well, a whole new year of new product releases, of course. The biggest is DJI, with its top-tier drones and amazing cameras, mics, and gimbals. What potential products could DJI be releasing in 2026?
Thanks to leakers, we have a good idea of what is in store for DJI in the coming months. New drones and new everything, really, could be coming to DJI users next year.
What won’t be coming in 2026? Likely anything to the US, given the US Government voted to de facto ban the company’s products unless a security agency conducts a review of the company’s products. Given no agency has shared that they are starting a review, the deadline for it is next week, and any positive outcome seems gloomy at best.
Lito X1
There is very little that we know about the new DJI Lito X1 other than it is likely a small drone. First shared by leaker Igor Bogdanov, all we have is the FCC label and an arm about the size of the Mini series of drones.
Could this be another new small consumer drone product? It’s hard to imagine they would add another product line alongside their Neo, Flip, and Mini drones, unless they’re rebranding one of those lines.
I would bet this could be a sub-250 gram or small indoor enterprise drone. Mini drones have been used widely for these use cases, and it would make sense for DJI to capitalize on its popularity still.
Avata 360
Also on the FCC list, DJI is planning to bring its 360 video tech to the skies. Similar to what Insta360 did with its Antigravity A1, the Avata 360 will likely be a sub-250-gram drone with two ultra-wide video cameras for 360 video.
How this will compare to the A1 is unknown. The A1 is only controllable right now using FPV goggles and a “Grip” controller. DJI is much newer to the 360 video market, so whether it will be as successful as Antigravity using the X5 technology is unknown.
Other unleaked drones
This year saw regular upgrades to DJI’s staple products like the Mavic 4 Pro, Mini 5 Pro, and Neo 2. What hasn’t seen upgrades in 2025 are the Air and Avata series.
It is very likely that we will see an Air 4 and Avata 3 in 2026 to continue keeping all of DJI’s products upgraded with the most recent features making it to other products.
We haven’t seen any leaks or rumors of these drones coming yet, but that doesn’t mean they’re not in the works by the company. DJI usually upgrades its drones every two years, which would mean the Air and Avata are due, while the Mavic and Mini drones would stay the same or receive only minor upgrades.
None drone products
DJI has been spending a lot of its R&D time expanding its products outside of drones. This could be because it sees itself as more than just a drone company, or it’s hoping to hedge its bets on US companies moving away from its drones by capturing more consumer product market share for action cameras and gimbals.
It’s still not 100% known yet if the DJI ban will be just for drones or for all products.
RS5 and Osmo Mobile 8P
DJI has been leading the industry in its gimbal technology for a while now. While other companies are competing with their smartphone gimbals, many will still appreciate a “Pro” version of the Mobile 8 smartphone gimbal.
The Mobile 8 brought support for Apple’s DockKit, which meant closer integration with iPhone users and the native camera app.
Many professional videographers have been using DJI’s Ronin series of gimbals for full-size cameras. An RS5, which could come in early 2026, would be a popular purchase for those needing the extra capability and weight of DJI’s larger gimbals.
Osmo Pocket 4
What I may say could be the #1 non-drone product DJI has released in recent years; the Osmo Pocket camera is an extremely powerful tool in the right hands. Used by YouTubers and budget creators, its ease of use and stabilized video make it a compelling option; a fourth-generation version would be huge.
There have been a handful of recent leaks by Igor on the Pocket 4. Videos of side-by-side testing with what I assume is the Pocket 3 indicate that the Pocket 4 features a much larger camera payload; however, we haven’t seen front-end views of the camera yet.
This larger payload could mean multiple cameras for wide and zoom lenses or just a much larger sensor in the camera, something that might be a throwback to the Osmo Pro.
DJI Power 1000 Mini
One last item that could come to the market in 2026 is a miniature version of DJI’s Power 1000 battery bank. While not something we expected DJI would ever get into, the company’s power banks are surprisingly competitive and a great option.
What a mini Power 1000 would mean is unknown, like most early leaked products from DJI. It would be useful; the Power 1000 is a pretty large and heavy product to lug around, although it probably won’t get much lighter due to the number of batteries it requires.
