DroneShield expands in Europe to counter growing drone threat

Responding to a surge in demand for counter-drone technology, Australia’s DroneShield is expanding its presence across Europe. The Sydney-based company says it has added a specialized team of experts to bolster its support network in Europe, with a strong focus on Denmark and Germany.

This move by DroneShield reflects Europe’s increasing need for advanced counter-drone solutions, driven by rising concerns over unauthorized drone activities in sectors such as defense, infrastructure, and government facilities.

The expansion brings a seasoned team of professionals with extensive expertise in counter-drone technology, including Hans Høyer, Asger Hviid, Oleksiy Prymin, and Red McClintock. Each member brings multilingual capabilities in English, German, Ukrainian, French, and Scandinavian languages, ensuring hands-on guidance, right from product demonstrations and installations to ongoing support, for clients across the continent.

“We understand the importance of proximity of support for our customers, and are committed to providing bespoke solutions that address their unique challenges,” says Hans Høyer, DroneShield’s newly appointed European sales director. “Whether it’s for special forces, fixed installations, or mobile solutions, we’re committed to providing unrivaled expertise and service.”

So much so, DroneShield’s European team has been actively engaging with the region’s defense and security sectors throughout 2024, attending high-profile events to showcase the company’s rapidly deployable C-UAS systems.

“With our expanded European presence, we are in a stronger position to meet the growing demands for counter-drone solutions in the region,” says Oleg Vornik, DroneShield’s CEO. “Our team is not only bringing cutting-edge technology but also providing hands-on support to ensure each customer receives the best possible solution.”
