Good morning, finally we have a new date from DJI to look forward to! On August 23rd at 10 am in the NY area, DJI will host an event to almost certainly introduce the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom models. Hopefully, DJI has had enough time to build up their inventories so that the orders can be placed right away and shipping will take place soon after as many people are eager to get their hands on these new drones. Good morning, here are the headlines you may have missed from yesterday. New footage surfaces of an exploding drone that allegedly is one of the two drones involved in the attack on Nicholás Maduro, although any hard evidence is still lacking. Second, DJI just introduced their cutest drone ever in partnership with Line Friends, the DJI Spark Brown edition. Good morning, last weekend has been all about DJI. First, we had the Argos catalog that came out with photos and specs of the DJI Mavic 2 Pro and Mavic 2 Zoom foldable drones. Apparently, it had been printed before DJI’s “See the Bigger Picture” event was postponed. However, the weekend wasn’t over yet. Yesterday, we found out about a photo of the Mavic Enterprise Edition being posted on the official DJI website in Germany. Good morning and happy Monday! Hopefully, you’ve had a great weekend? We still have no word from DJI on when the “See the Bigger Picture” event might be taking place. If the Chinese drone maker will give the press and media a 3-weeks heads up before the event takes place (like they have done in the past), we will be looking at the second half of August at the earliest. As far as other new is concerned we have a story about how two suspects were caught in a cornfield with the help of a drone and a K-9 unit as well as news of a Bulgarian drone capable of flying 1,550 miles while carrying 800 pounds. Good morning, today I woke up to find an email from DJI in my inbox in which they say that the delay of the launch event is not due to a design failure of the gimbal but that DJI wants “to ensure what we deliver to the market is up to our standard of innovation and we will have enough products available to ship to our customers when we do launch the product.” Without telling us what exactly the issue is, DJI stresses that it needs to meet their ‘standard of innovation’ which still seems to point to a technical problem with the product as well as having enough inventory available. That second part is interesting and is the first time we hear about the availability of the product being part of the reason to postpone the “See the bigger Picture Event.” DJI’s email ended with DJI acknowledging that there is: “a lot of excitement in the market on what’s to come, so we will definitely keep everyone posted when we are ready to make an official announcement.” No word on when that might be though…

Good morning! Yesterday Billy and I spend a good part of the day flying the DJI Mavic Air and the Parrot Anafi at the Lyndhurst Mansion in Tarrytown, NY. Therefore we have fewer headlines than usual but expect a video from us to come your way soon. With that, yesterday we did have some big news. Mountaineer, Rick Allen who was presumed dead was found alive by drone pilot Bartek using his DJI Mavic Pro. We also got to see what might well be the first drone photo of the K2 mountain. The photo was taken from an elevation of 8,400 meters high, well above the altitude limit DJI informs you that your Mavic Pro can fly. Check it out!

Good morning, if you haven’t heard it already, brace yourself… Yesterday we received an email from DJI letting us know that they had made the difficult decision to push back the “See the Bigger Picture” event to a yet to be determined date. At this point, it is unclear whether this is due to a hardware or software-related issue. However for the Chinese drone maker to postpone a global product launch is a big deal.
