DJI has rolled out Fly app version 1.18.0, bringing one major addition: support for its newly launched Mini 5 Pro drone. Released today, this update officially makes the Mini 5 Pro compatible with remote controllers, including the DJI RC-N3, DJI RC 2, and DJI RC Pro 2. Pilots selecting one of those controllers will now be able to use the Fly app seamlessly with the newest drone to be added to the DJI Mini series.

It’s release season again, and DJI has just teased another product the company will be announcing this Wednesday at 8:00 AM ET. While the company still wants to maintain secrecy ahead of the launch, we have a pretty good idea of what is coming, per leaks over the last couple of months.

DJI, the world’s leading drone manufacturer, has submitted new filings to the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for its anticipated Mini 5 Pro drone. While such filings typically precede product launches, the current geopolitical climate suggests that this may not indicate an imminent release, at least for US pilots.
