O4 Air Unit

Sometimes, a wider view can make a bigger difference than a better camera. That’s the thinking behind DJI’s latest addition to its FPV lineup. The company has introduced the DJI O4 Wide Air Unit, an ultra-wide version of the O4 Air Unit that swaps the standard camera lens for a much broader 159-degree field of view. Everything else that made the original appealing, including its lightweight design, 4K recording, and low-latency digital video transmission, largely stays the same.

When DJI unveiled the O4 Air Unit earlier this year, the FPV (first-person view) drone community braced for a leap: 4K/60fps filming, crisp 1080p live feed, and a size-light enough to sit on tree branches… or your fingertip. BETAFPV answered the call with the Pavo Femto, a 75 mm, brushless 2S whoop that feels almost magical in how well it balances size with capability.

DJI sent me a brand new 04 Air Unit Pro along with their new DJI Goggles 3 and Remote 3 for review. I was expecting a small upgrade to their 03 Air Unit, and boy was I in for a surprise.
