While most of us have barely pulled ourselves out of the post-holiday slump, tech giant DJI is moving full steam ahead into 2024. Last week, the company announced the global rollout of its first-ever delivery drone FlyCart 30. And you likely know by now that a new pro audio product launch is slated for later today. But DJI doesn’t want to stop there. Another new teaser has dropped now to let us know that on Thursday, Jan. 18, the drone maker will unveil a solution that might just help to “shape” our world. Here are the deets…
New: DJI releases Modify, an intelligent drone 3D model editing software
The teaser for DJI’s second product launch this week comes from the company’s enterprise solutions arm that develops high-end drones for public safety, industrial inspections, surveying, mapping, etc. This information alone is enough to know that the new product is going to be uniquely powerful. But it may not necessarily be a drone.
In addition to industrial drone platforms, DJI Enterprise also develops flight management and data processing software, robust aerial payloads, drone accessories, and solutions for remote operations (DJI Dock). As such, the new offering could come from any of these categories, or the innovation-focused company may just venture into a new product class, likely it so often does.
Online forums where the teaser has been shared are rife with guesses and predictions about the new product. While some are contemplating that DJI may have finally developed a fixed-wing aircraft, others are leaning more strongly toward new software. If anything, the teaser has done its job by drumming up plenty of excitement in the tech world.
