DJI just sent out an announcement via email. It is titled: ‘Fly as you are’ and mentions October 30th at 9 am EDT as the day and time the Chinese drone-maker will release a new product. We can only guess (wink) as to what it is that DJI will introduce this time, but looking at the title it seems fair to say that it will likely fly. Will this be the first drone DJI releases this year?
Just now, DJI pushed back to an undisclosed date its July 18th “See the Bigger Picture” event due to what seems to be the (drone) technology not being ready… Needless to say, DJI’s announcement comes as a big surprise less than two weeks away from what would have been a global product launch on July 18th. The drone maker told us that they are working on establishing a new date and will announce that as soon as possible.
Like with any highly anticipated product introduction, things tend to heat up as we get closer to the actual release date. The stories and rumors get wilder and crazier and now the same thing is happening with DJI’s most recent announcement. According to some people, the image that accompanied DJI’s announcement may contain a hidden hint to the Mavic Pro II (2). Back in April, we first reported on the French drone maker. Parrot being up to something. Well, tomorrow will be the day of the official announcement. In a tweet earlier today, Parrot is talking about ‘It’s coming’ and your life taking ‘a new flight’. They also refer to tomorrow’s event as ‘the big announcement.’ DroneDJ will be reporting live from the event that is scheduled to take place in New York at 10 am EST.
