Expand Expanding CloseA new listing from DJI has just hit the FCC with the name DJI AIR 2S, pointing at an upgraded model of the Mavic Air 2 to be released soon. The listing comes with the usual documents and the important FCC label and location.
Expand Expanding CloseDJI has filed paperwork with the FCC for a new upward radar device. We’re anticipating this will be a new sensor on one of the company’s Enterprise products.
Expand Expanding CloseA new product has hit the FCC test bench from DJI, and it appears to be a motion controller for its upcoming FPV drone. After previously sharing news of a possible DJI joystick controller, it appears that it will be released with or close to the FPV drone.
Expand Expanding CloseDJI’s unreleased FPV drone has officially been released onto the FCC database, along with a new controller and FPV goggles. This means the new drone is likely to be released late this month or early next month at CES after months of leaks and hype around it.
Expand Expanding CloseThe DJI RoboMaster EP‘s core has made its way onto the FCC’s database with an image of its regulatory label and label location being shared in the filing. This could suggest the “SS3-RMEPCORE” RoboMaster EP could be released in the US very soon.
Right after we were notified by the FCC about the filing for the new DJI Matrice 200 V2, 210 V2 and 210 RTK V2, we received another one (FCC ID SS3-GL900A1811) for the DJI Cendence S Remote Controller. Again a long and short-term secrecy cycle is being applied to this filing so we don’t get to see any photos or specs yet.
New versions of the popular enterprise drones are underway. In an FCC filing (FCC ID SS3-M200V21811) the DJI Matrice 200 V2, Matrice 210 V2 and Matrice 210 RTK V2 show up. From the filing, it does not become obvious what kind of improvements can be expected. Nor does it give us any indication as to when these new models may be released. Typically there between 4-8 weeks between a new DJI product showing up in FCC filings and its actual release. Unless, of course, there is a delay.
Just now we discovered that DJI had filed for an FCC certificate (FCC ID SS3-NB06251803) for a new ‘Multilink’ wireless communication device. It seems to be a unit that you would wear over your ear or that works in conjunction with such a unit, and that is connected wirelessly to a controller. In the filing, it shows both the DJI Cendence and C1 controller. The unit works over both 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz frequencies. In the documents that accompany the filing, there is a lot of talk about Phantoms and Phantom 5, however, that seems to refer to testing equipment and not to any new drones. It is uncertain if this filing has any connection with the upcoming product launch on July 18th.
