An Atlanta-area man has become the third defendant to be remanded to federal prison for using a drone to smuggle contraband into a Georgia state prison. The prosecutions in the case are believed to be among the first in the United States under federal law regulating non-passenger aircraft.
Brookhaven, Georgia to respond to 911 calls with drones
The Brookhaven Police Department in Georgia is set to receive a fleet of drones as a new advanced way to responding to 911 calls. The department will also have 12 officers train to receive their FAA licenses as a part of the new unmanned aerial systems unit.
