DJI Osmo Action and Pocket cameras discounted up to 45% this month

DJI is famous as a drone company, a maker of flying cameras. But those aren’t the only cameras in the company’s lineup. It also has a line of action cams called Osmo. And for the next month, two DJI Osmo models will be on sale at steep discounts.

The sale runs on the DJI store from May 24 to June 23 and covers both the Osmo Action and Osmo Pocket cameras.

New DJI Osmo+ firmware release – v1.7.1.0

DJI just released a new firmware update for their DJI Osmo+. It is version v1.7.1.0. So, if you still have an Osmo+ laying around and are planning on using it, well you may want to update the firmware to DJI’s latest version. The main (and only) part of the update is the optimized compatibility with the HB01-522365 battery model for use in low-temperature environments. Do you use the Osmo+ for work or pleasure? End of Life for Mavic Pro (Platinum), Phantom 3 & 4 and Osmo announced by DJI

DJI announces the End of Life for the Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+, Phantom 3 SE, Osmo, Osmo+, Osmo Mobile, Mavic Pro and Mavic Pro Platinum in a memo to retailers. The announcement comes right after the introduction of the Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro drones last week. Especially the inclusion of the Phantom 4 Pro/Pro+ is interesting as it may indicate that its successor, the Phantom 5 may not be far away.

Hands-on: Removu K1 handheld camera w/ integrated display takes on DJI’s OSMO
