The Mavic Air 2 doesn’t support DJI Goggles, which is a real shame

The DJI Goggles are some of the nicest commercial FPV goggles on the market. The Racing Edition made a good impression in our review. Designed to work with flagship Mavic Drones, the Goggles are compatible with the original Mavic Air. However, DJI’s new Mavic Air 2 doesn’t have Goggles compatibility at the moment. Which is a little strange when you think about it.

New Mavic Pro Firmware Released to make Goggles compatible with the Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro – v01.04.0500

DJI just released new firmware for the Mavic Pro. This is version v01.04.0500. The previous firmware update was early in July. On the DJI Forums, people have reported that this firmware does not change anything to the drone or the controller, but is merely for the DJI Goggles. Since the Goggles are updated through the Mavic Pro, you will have to do this in order to make the DJI Goggles compatible with the Mavic 2 Zoom and Pro drones.

DJI Mavic Pro firmware update – v01.04.0400

While many of you were celebrating the fourth of July, DJI quietly released a new firmware update (v01.04.0400) for the DJI Mavic Pro. So far the first feedback from users seems to be pretty positive with reports of improved video transmission and hardly any problems after installing this latest version. Please note that this version cannot be rolled back to an earlier firmware version.

DJI quietly adds new DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo with DJI Goggles to online store

Today we were surprised to find that DJI quietly has added a new DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo with DJI Goggles to the online store. During the presentation, Michael Perry, Managing Director of DJI North America, announced the DJI Mavic Air Standard Package and the Fly More Combo. The latter includes two more batteries, extra props, 4-way charger and a shoulder bag.

No word on a DJI Mavic Air Fly More Combo with DJI Goggles.
