About one week ago new images surfaced on Twitter showing what could be a DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 model. Last Friday, we were notified of two new FCC filings (controller, drone) from DJI, indicating that the photos are likely legit. DJI may be about to release a new version of the DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 or “Platinum Edition” during the NAB 2018 event in Las Vegas in April. The introduction of a new Phantom 4 could also mean that we will not see a new DJI Phantom 5 until October or November of this year.

Day 5 of Leg 9 of the Volvo Ocean Race has been one of record-breaking sailing. Both Team AkzoNobel (Dutch) and Team Brunel (Dutch) broke the 600 mile barrier in 24 hours. A feat that up until now had never been achieved with a sailboat. During, To capture spectacular footage and photos Team Brunel flew their DJI Phantom 4 drone in 30 knots of wind. Check out this video and the landing of the drone afterward. Simply amazing!

Dan Nystedt from Sault Ste. Marie in Ontario, Canada was flying his drone to capture some beautiful fall scenics in 4K when his eye caught a moose standing in a lake. As Nystedt moved his Phantom 4 Pro in for a closer look at this majestic animal, a wolf comes charging out of the bushes and a battle for life and death ensues.

Yesterday and today two new drone videos were posted on YouTube, that show the Apple’s head offices being cleaned and prepped ahead of this year’s WWDC 2018. The first video was shot by Duncan Sinfield with the DJI Inspire 2 and the Zenmuse X7 camera and the second video was shot by Matthew Roberts, who used a Phantom 4 Pro to capture the spaceship-like building. Surprisingly it is still possible to fly your drone over Apple’s office building, in Cupertino, California, after a DJI Phantom 4 crashed on top of the roof back in February.

It was only yesterday that we showed you a screenshot of what seems to be the new DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0. Today we are excited to share with you what seems to be a first official image of new drone.  it appears that your official launch date of this new product is May 8th, which in China it already is. It is very hard to tell, but based on the photo it seems that this new drone may, in fact, have the silent propellers we first saw on the DJI Mavic Pro Platinum Edition. We later saw these new props also surface in the FCC filing.

If you asked me what is the best drone on the market right now my response would be the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. Sure, there are drones like the Inspire 2 that are better equipped, but they have their own set of downfalls. The Phantom series offers the perfect blend of performance, quality, and portability at a reasonable cost which makes the Phantom 4 Pro my all-time favorite drone to use.
