Drone maker Yuneec has struck a deal with Czech startup Dronetag to have Remote ID broadcast capabilities built into its new commercial hexacopter, the H850 RTK. This new partnership will also see Dronetag add-on devices for remote identification of drones being sold on the Yuneec online store.
Drone maker Yuneec is readying to release a new hexacopter, the H850 RTK, which has been designed with commercial applications such as infrastructure inspections, surveying, public safety applications, and fawn rescue in mind.
Yuneec and Leica Camera AG announced the beginning of a strategic technology partnership. The first result of this collaboration was presented yesterday in the form of the Typhoon H3 with ION L1 Pro camera. It is a drone equipped with a high-end 1″ sensor camera that was specially developed for sophisticated aerial photography and, thanks to Leica photo-engineering technology, also meets the highest standards of quality.
The new Yuneec Mantis G is a small, foldable drone with a 4K camera. It seems to be a nearly identical drone to the Mantis Q but with a few very important upgrades. The Mantis G will have a 4K camera on a two-axis gimbal that will also be stabilized electronically. Boasting a flight time of up to 33 minutes and a range of 2000 meters the Mantis G is an impressive little drone. Expand Expanding Close
A lot of people want to know what the best drone is, but that is actually a very difficult question. My favorite drone is the Mavic 2 Zoom, but I wouldn’t recommend that drone to everyone. I don’t think the best drones of 2019 are here yet as Skydio and DJI have some drones in the works. There are still some excellent options out there, though.
Your purpose and budget are two hugely important factors when looking for a drone. If your goal is to have fun, then I would recommend one of the inexpensive drones on my list. If aerial photography is your focus, then the best beginner drone has been the DJI Spark, but it isn’t one I’d recommend to professional or semi-professional pilots. I’ll take a look at the entry-level competition as well as some of the higher-performing birds, like the Mavic 2 Pro.
Yuneec announced that it has been named a CES® 2019 Innovation Awards Honoree for the Yuneec Mantis Q drone in the robotics and drones product category. The announcement was made during CES Unveiled New York, an invite-only tech event bringing together top media, exhibitors and industry leaders for a sneak peek of the products and trends expected at CES 2019, which will run January 8-11, 2019 in Las Vegas, NV. The Yuneec Mantis Q is the first drone with voice control.

After the release of the Breeze in 2016, Yuneec’s small consumer drone was quickly overshadowed by the more capable and more popular DJI Spark. But now it is 2018, and the Yuneec Breeze is a bargain at under $200! I’ve tested countless drones in this price range so I am very familiar with the features and capabilities of drones under $200. Even with its limitations, the Breeze beats the competition. I’ll tell you why.
About a week ago, we wrote about the latest drone from Yuneec the Mantis Q. Initially only available in Europe, but now we got an email from Yuneec letting us know that the voice-controlled and foldable drone will be available for pre-order in the US as well. Pre-orders start today. It is priced at $499.99 which puts it well below the DJI Mavic Air and the Parrot Anafi but higher than the DJI Spark. However, if you want the remote control, three batteries, a shoulder bag, and more, the price will come to $649.99, which puts it in direct competition with the drones I mentioned before as well as the DJI Mavic Pro. Let us know in the poll below, which drone you would pick!
With DJI dominating headlines in the consumer drone market with the expected release of the Mavic 2, Yuneec has quietly released a folding drone of their own called the “Mantis Q” that will only be available in Europe. Upon first glance, this drone might look like any other Spark or Mavic Air competitor, but after a closer look, you’ll come to find it has a decent set of specs. Let’s discuss what makes this drone stand out.
Early Friday morning, Yuneec released a new version of firmware for their H520 Hexacopter. Developed for commercial use, this drone gets a few new small features that might make a big difference in your daily flying routines.
A couple of days ago, drone enthusiast David Eighteen took his Yuneec Typhoon H (not the Plus) to the waterfront of the River Medway and sort of stumbled upon this almost 100-year-old U-boat while flying his drone. David’s hi-res aerial photos and some additional research into this shipwreck make for a very interesting story and it is a great example of how drones can open up a new world that otherwise may go unnoticed.
Aimed at aerial photographers, creative professionals, and small drone service providers, Yuneec introduces an upgraded version with some new features of their Typhoon H Plus drone withIntel® RealSense™. The new version should have much better low light capabilities due to a larger one-inch 20MP sensor with a wider aperture and an extended ISO range that captures 4K video footage at 60fps. It comes with a redesigned six-rotor hex airframe that is 40% quieter than previous models. And, it will now include the Intel® RealSense™ Technology for superior collision avoidance. The Typhoon H Plus with Intel® RealSense™ Technology will be available at Best Buy stores around the country as of July 1st for $1,899.99.
The new DY5 dual charger allows you to charge two Yuneec H520 or Typhoon H Plus batteries at once. We haven’t had the chance to try it out yet but apparently, it is really simple; insert the batteries into the compartments and the DY5 dual charger will automatically.
Yunnec made a big splash at CES 2018 with the introduction of three brand new drones. The HD Racer is a racing drone that probably fits in the “toy” category, the Typhoon H Plus is a full-size professional drone that’s priced in the same category as drones like the DJI Inspire 1, and the Firebird FPV is the company’s first winged drone. We got a chance to see all three drones up close and personal on the CES 2018 show floor…
Yuneec introduced three new drones at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The first one, and possibly the most important one, is the Typhoon H Plus, a successor to the Typhoon H that was launched in 2016. Besides the Typhoon H Plus, Yuneec also launched a fixed-wing drone, named the Yuneec Fixed Wing Firebird FPV. Lastly, they also introduced a new budget-friendly HD racer, a first for Yuneec.
