Percepto launches new Air Mobile drone, upgrades autonomous inspection platform

Drone-in-a-box solutions provider Percepto, whose autonomous inspection platform AIM has been named as one of 100 Best Inventions of 2021 by Time magazine, has launched a new drone called Air Mobile. In addition, the Israel-based company has also updated AIM to deliver AI-powered packaged solutions for sector-specific use cases, such as solar, mining, energy, oil and gas, etc.

The same concept has now enabled researchers to develop a rotary-wing drone that doesn’t need “extravagant” components like two whole wings or four separate motors. F-SAM is a monocopter drone that weighs only 69 grams, can achieve a maximum lateral speed of 2.37 m/s, and fly for about 16 minutes with its semi-rigid wing.

XAG is making its fully autonomous agricultural drones available globally

XAG, one of the top three commercial drone manufacturers of 2021, is expanding its international footprint to new markets. Up to December 2020, the company’s agricultural drones and farming solutions had reached 42 countries. Now, China-based XAG is making its V40 and P40 agricultural drones available for purchase across the globe.
