A defunct Boeing drone is now on display at the Air and Space Museum in full X-Wing regalia

The Smithsonian announced just before “May the Fourth” that it has added a Boeing Cargo Air Vehicle to its collection at the National Air and Space Museum. The drone, dressed up to look like a Star Wars X-Wing, was used to fly the first commercial operation of a “large eVTOL aircraft,” which took place at Disney World back in 2019.

OpenAI Sora: Is this the end to a drone pilot career?

This week OpenAI announce Sora, an AI powered realistic video generator that only requires a monthly subscription and an idea. In part of OpenAI’s announcement, it showed off rather convincing drone-like shots of Big Sur and coastal cities that would fool probably anyone but experts. So what does this mean for us drone pilots that hope to make a living doing this same thing?

NASA’s Dragonfly space-drone gets more wind tunnel testing treatment

One of the more crazy, and extremely exciting, missions NASA is working on for space exploration is the Dragonfly spacecraft. This car-sized drone will explore the alien world of Titan, one of the moons of Saturn, by flying around it instead of driving like its Martian counter-parts. It just received some wind tunnel testing with a half-scale test vehicle.
