DJI has released new firmware updates for its flagship Mavic 3 series, making all Mavic 3 drones compatible with two of the company’s FPV goggles and RC Motion 2 remote controller.

It’s that day again, and you know what that means – the release of a new DJI drone and time to see what the company has given us today! DJI’s Mavic 3 Pro has been a long time coming, and so much has leaked over the past few weeks, but there are still some secrets to share! So let’s dive right into this Mavic 3 Pro unboxing.

DJI has stopped the sale of the original Mavic 3 through its online store. This development comes on the heels of the tech giant releasing the latest addition to the Mavic 3 series: the world’s first consumer drone with three optical cameras, the Mavic 3 Pro.

Tech giant DJI has hit a home run with the new Mavic 3 Pro, which is equipped with no less than three camera sensors. And three cameras with different focal lengths really are better than one (or two).

Come September 16, 2023, compliance with the FAA’s final rule on Remote ID will become mandatory for most drones operating in US airspace. Many popular DJI drones have Remote ID capabilities built-in, but some older models need an add-on module to broadcast their identification and location information.

Update (September 13, 2023): The FAA has extended the Remote ID enforcement deadline by six months to March 16, 2024.
